It was a beautiful day, yes it was. And no one was at the Task Force Head Quarters. This is because they all went to have a late lunch at forty five past one.
Ryuuzaki still doesn't know how he got pulled into this. But he did. Matsuda was complaining of being hungry, so after a few moments of fighting, they all wanted to get a late lunch. A certain kira suspect Light Yagami wanted to go, But Light and Ryuuzaki were handcuffed, Well, I could just take the handcuffs off. Ryuuzaki quickly disregarded that idea, so he came along. Sadly, Misa came also..
Watari drove them with his limo, now he was eating a salad. Misa was blabbering mindlessly to Light, who just wanted to go back now. Matsuda was being an idiot and just playing with his food. Mogi was quietly eating. Aizawa and Mr. Yagami were chatting about cats or someshitlikethat... And Ryuuzaki was quietly munching on a sugar cookie.
Ryuuzaki was silently watching a little girl. She was trying to get ice cream. She was about three, and was to short to reach the lever to pour the Ice cream. So as she was trying to get ice cream, people were walking by, not even knowing nor caring, people pushing her aside so they can get ice cream. I can't believe it. How could they do that? Leaving her like that.. , Ryuuzaki thought in disgust.
She was so young, and Ryuuzaki knew she had more manners then the adults around her, a boy maybe four times her age was patiently waiting behind her, and she got out the way so he could get some.
Ryuuzaki didn't want to see her struggle with that anymore, he looked at the other task force to see them also looking at the girl, but only for a short while, before turning back to their food. So He got up, and slowly walked over to were the little girl was. Crouched down next to her, he was taller then the girl when in his crouch, but not my much.
"Would you like some help with that?", he asked quietly, as if speaking louder would scare the girl away. The girl only stared at him with wide, coconut brown, curious eyes. He gently took the cone and slowly pulled the lever and filled the cone with the one she had been reaching for, it was mint chocolate chip, and then handed it back to her.
The way her eyes lit up when he handed it back make his heart ache. He loved the feeling, to help someone in need, it's why he became a detective. He gave a small smile as she hugged him and skipped back to her table, licking happily on the ice cream.
Then Ryuuzaki walked back than crouched back down at his seat. Matsuda didn't even notice he was gone,"Hey, where were you?", he asked.
"Just looking at the ice cream they had", Ryuuzaki quietly answered in his monotone voice, with a small smile, that no one but the little girl saw.
AN: Ryuuzaki went because he was handcuffed to Light, but I geuss I forgot... because he walked away with no problem... So just imagine Lights arm in an awkward angle behind his head because of the chain. I don't know.. xD They did have more than one table for them all. I had the idea because a friend actually did this. I posted this on dA. So enjoy..
