Chapter 1: The Challenge
All the SSBB squadron class entered the room. Figures instantly spring to mind like Mario, Link, Kirby, the lot. Their monthly meeting was about to commence which brought many stories about the heroes' worlds. It was a time of rejoice and calmness. For which every hero enjoyed. The protagonists entered to a chrome cyclic table with a large computer screen on the table so that the protagonists were able to slide files to each other rather than paper. After all, when you have Sonic's best friend Tails at the forefront of design alongside Falco and Fox, you really can't be disappointed with their brilliant designs. Everybody sat down with their favourite foods in front of them, from Wario's garlic, to Mario's spaghetti.
''Hey, you remember when everyone turned into a trophy? That was lit!" Sonic roared with laughter. All of the protagonists stared at Sonic as if he had committed murder for they would never do such a thing.
"Well Sonic, if this is a way to start a get together, then I think you should leave." Link said solemnly but with a firm tone.
"Yeah you're right. I don't know I've been acting weirdly lately." Sonic responded.
Everyone looked at Link as to see if there was any response. The tension was already heightened and everyone looked to the calm and collected Link for a response to ease the tension.
"Well then, who wants to start things off?" Link asked without noticing the fact that everyone was looking at him.
Sonic's eyes turned yellow. His very skin turned red. He levitated in the air like he would when he combined all the Chaos Emeralds. He looked powerful with his overbearing shadow obviating the entire conference.
"He's been hypnotised!" Ness shrieked.
All the doors inside the Halberd were instantly shut. Only one door remained open and that was the door which entered the conference. "YOU SHALL ALL FACE OFF EACH OTHER IN BATTLE. THE LOSERS WILL BE TURNED INTO TROPHIES. ANYONE WHO DARES ESCAPE, WILL BE HUNTED DOWN. AND THEY WILL DIE." Sonic whispered but quite loudly. His intention was to inject fear into the protagonists.
"Here is the first round list." Sonic said with petrifying glee.

This story is a short setup to lead on to the fore coming battles. There will be four battles per chapter so I will try and blitz through all of it and get it on ASAP.
