Her arm ached but she ignored it, this was nothing compared to some of her previous injuries. Hell, this isn't even close to how she felt when she lost her. No she couldn't think about that, not now, not yet.

Lexa's gaze fell upon Clarke, who was motionless on the ground. She knew she would have to wake her soon, that mutant wasn't going to be trapped for long. But she couldn't bring herself to do it, all she could notice was how peaceful Clarke looked while she was sleeping. Her face had a calm sort of innocence to it that Lexa, at least, hadn't seen since Finn had died. His death couldn't have been avoided however, blood must have blood it was the way things are, it was what her people understood. If he hadn't died then there would have been war against the sky people. Even with his death her people hadn't felt appeased they had wanted the death by a thousand cuts and Clarke had taken that from them.

A loud roar could be heard a little ways away, it undoubtedly came from the mutant. Clarke sat up almost instantly as though it were instinctual. "It's okay, you're safe" Lexa said trying to comfort Clarke who was looking around with alarmed panic.

"We should go, that door won't hold for long." Clarke commented, she was already on her feet. Lexa just nodded and stood up trying to ignore the jet of pain that shot through her arm. She knew they had to cover as much ground between them and the mutant as quick as possible. Now was not the time to succumb to her stupid injury. "Does it hurt?" Clarke asked looking at her concerned, it was almost as though she knew what Lexa had been thinking only a moment before.

"It's fine" she said coldly trying to make it clear this was not something she wanted to discuss. Lexa didn't quite know when her feelings for Clarke had begun but she knew they were there. She had to keep on reminding herself that love was weakness and that if she ever did love someone again they would suffer the same fate as Costia.

Although she had to admit there was something about the girl that made her want to get to know her better, that made her care. She couldn't help but notice how fearless, strong, and well stubborn Clarke was. Clarke had been willing to risk her own life in order to save her friends, the thought of dying hadn't even seemed to be a problem to the girl. Lexa also couldn't help but to wonder why Clarke didn't just leave her behind it was almost as though the girl cared whether or not Lexa died, although she would hide it behind politics. Honestly Clarke would have made a good grounder if she hadn't been one of the sky people.

Lexa was certain of one thing however, she wasn't as heartless as she made herself out to be and Clarke was beginning to see through it to.

"What is it?" At the sound of Clarke's voice she snapped out of her thoughts.

"Nothing, just thinking" she responded shortly.

"About what?"

"Your plan, trusting Bellamy with the lives of our people."

"He will make it. It trust him."

Lexa found herself wondering what the nature of Clarke's feeling for Bellamy were and felt a pit of jealousy forming in her gut.
