Little Moments
Little moments come and go, but those are usually what make the day. When a little something goes wrong in their plans and Bo gets that miffed look on his face like it was all the bad guys' fault and not their own. Those little unexpected happenings are what make the day worthy of a smile, even if they have to sit around and wait for Cooter to come along with an extra tire because they've already used up theirs.
There is also the ones unspoken of. Like that one time they kissed by accident, just a brush of lips on the way down to the ground that turned them both red faced. They didn't even approach the subject, backed away and left it alone instead. But at the end of the day Luke had a smile on his face when he remembered his cousin's surprised face. It had been interesting watching that evolution. It started with wide eyes about the time that he smacked into the blonde causing them to fall, then the mouth followed, opened up to let out a breathy squeak when they hit the ground. Rosy blush followed right after, bringing even more color to tanned cheeks.
There are a few moments that only Luke knows about too. Bo falling asleep on his arm is one. On their way back from Atlanta in Jesse's truck having been told to go pick up Daisy's new bed. The girl herself being busy at the Boar's Nest and their Uncle having his own work to do out on the back forty. Right about halfway home the pretty one fell asleep with his heavy head on Luke's arm that was resting across the back of the bench seat. Wasn't long before the arm turned numb, but the rock covered in blonde fluff didn't look like it was inclined to move anytime soon, so he just let his cousin utilize him as a pillow and didn't wake him until they got back home.
And, of course, the ones where the whole of Hazzard is sleeping, except for them.
But his favourite of them all is when he can wake up with his grinning cousin in his arms on those rare days when they are home alone. No danger of anybody wandering into their bedroom. They can even cuddle on the couch, well, Bo cuddles, Luke reads. Just them and the smell of coffee and old paper. Yes, those moments are definitely the best.
