Gibbs sat in his basement looking at the clock he saw it was late and decided to go to bed.
Suddenly there as a knock at the door.
Gibbs walked upstairs and answered the door.
"Kate?are you ok???"Gibbs asked shocked.
"well to be honest........no"
"Come in???"Gibbs said stepping aside.
"I just..........I really have no idea what I'm doing here"
"well sit down"
Kate sat down on the couch.
"Would you like some coffee??"
"No can I just have some water please??"
"Sure"
Gibbs returned and handed her a mug with water and then sat down next to her on the couch.
"thank you"
"Kate I don't want to sound rude but you've been through alot tonight.Don't you want to go home???"
"I know but I.....I just didn't want to be alone right now"
"Ok so why did you come here??"
"Because I........I.....was so scared tonight......and I just want to feel safe..."Kate said as she started to cry.
"Kate...."Gibbs took her mug out of her shaking hands and wrapped his arm around her shoulders.
Kate started to cry harder as he pulled her to him and held her like a small child.
"Gibbs........when I heard that gunshot.......from the freezer....."
"yeah"
"I thought that was it that I had lost you......and for a moment.....I didn't know how I would go on"
"I.......realised I'd be lost without you"
"Kate......"
"I........ realsied then that I broke one of your rules"
"Wich is??"
"Romance between agents never work"

"I broke your rule.......when I fell in love with you"

"I came here...........because I was scared.......And I wanted to be in your arms safe and sound"
"Truth is.........I can't imagine ever waking up and not having your vioce or eyes to look forward to"She sobbed

"And everynight when I go to sleep............I.....just want you to be there but....today I relaised you could have died"
"Kate shut up"
Kate quit talking and sat in silence with tears still rolling down her face.
"Kate my work means alot to me.why do you think it does??It's because when I go to work I get to see your beautiful face"
"Gibbs I don't care why your work means alot to you.and I don't want something from you like money I just want you the way you are I always have"
Gibbs looked at Kate who was still trembling in his arms like a wounded animal.
"Kate Look at me"
Kate looked up and a tear rolled down her cheek.
"I'm flattered Kate really but I could get in serious termiol for us being a couple"
"then fire me"Kate pleaded.
"Kate..."
"you know what Gibbs"Kate suddenly pulled away from him and sat up straight.
"Incase you didn't notice this is my heart my everything bleeding for you begging for you on a plate while I kneel before you but your job is just..."
Kate was cut off when Gibbs grabbed her by her shoulders and kissed her pinning her to the couch Kate though shocked managed to snap out of it and return the kiss while wrapping her arms around his neck.
"But Gibbs what about your job???"kate asked when they finally broke apart.
"we'll worry about that later"
"guess it was a good thing I came over"
"guess it was"
"I guess I better get going though it's late"Kate said glancing at her watch.
"how did you get here??"
"cab"
"I'll call you another"
Gibbs called the cab then sat back down next to Kate.
By the time the cab arrived Kate and Gibbs had fallen asleep on the couch.
Kate heard the taxi but she finally had what she had wanted for so long no way was she giving it up now.
