This story combines both Ben 10 and Teen Titans. And, it doesn't use only original characters. I have added two new characters, Emily Tennyson (Gwen's older sister, 16) and Noah Fascia (Emily's best friend). I've also screwed around with the time. This story takes place in the original Ben 10 and some events that are not crucial in the Teen Titans have been moved around and may not occur in the place that it did in the series. You'll see how I work all of this out when you read the story. Enjoy!
There was a loud beeping and then a blinding red flash. Ben flew onto the ground with a thud and Emily could hear the breath leave his lungs, even though he was at least twenty feet away. Shock from hitting the ground as hard as he did left him laying on the ground motionless. Emily started running over to her little cousin, but an animal mutated to look like a fox and a bear had a baby ran in front of her, blocking her path from Ben.
She took a step back, panic beginning to rise up her throat, about to form into a scream. Emily looked around her. Gwen, her younger sister, was trapped in a corner. A large mutated eagle was standing in front of her, making sure she couldn't get away. Grandpa Max was busy trying to fend off a mutated bull frog with a pole he found on the ground, but was losing. Noah, her best friend that had come with her and her family on a summer-long trip across America, was trying to get away from a mutated baboon. Emily looked back at Ben. Dr. Animo, the crazy scientist responsible for the mayhem unfolding around her, had his foot on Ben's chest, pinning him to the ground. They were losing. Badly.
Animo snickered evily and shouted to Emily, "Do you really want your friends to die, girl, just so you'll have to join me anyway?"
Emily could feel her shoulders sag in defeat. She didn't know why he wanted her so badly, but it couldn't be good. "Why do you want me so badly, anyway?"
Animo smiled and replied, "Because to me, you are royalty."
That's all he ever answered when she and her family would ask. It made absolutely no sense. But the first time he said it, Grandpa Max's face paled. It obviously meant something to him, too. Emily was too afraid to ask.
