A Sad Little Life
In the dark,
A little girl cries,
She has been beaten again,
She cries all night,
Yells for her mommy,
But no one hears,
Her parents are dead,
They hug her no longer,
Her new father beats her,
She hides in the shed,
Behind the old wagon,
She hides and weeps,
She works all day,
Gets beaten all night,
What a sad little life,
This poor girl,
This little girl with black hair,
She cries and cries,
She hears someone coming,
She prays it's not the man,
Who calls himself her father,
The door opens,
But it's not her father,
It is another man,
A tall man,
With gold eyes and silver hair,
He heard her crying,
He felt sorry for her,
He holds her close,
And watches her cry,
She now has a friend,
She doesn't know his name,
But he is her friend,
This sad little life,
Has just gotten a little better,
Because she has made a friend,
A friend who lets her cry,
A friend named Sesshomaru.
