"At the end of the day, tell yourself gently: 'I love you, you did the best you could today, and even if you didn't accomplish all you had planned, I love you anyway." – Anonymous

••Happy••
Sometimes, the world seems like it's out to get you.
All you can do is roll with the punches and keep those around you happy and satisfied with the things you do for them. It only takes a lucky few to see that you're unhappy or unsatisfied with your life or the problems you face make you feel-
Who knows how it makes you feel.
All you know is that it's a feeling that's eating you alive.
This is how Kakuzu is feeling right now. At home in his personal workshop trying to design a new toy. Every idea seems wrong; the eyes are too big, the body isn't proportioned properly, the fabric for the clothing won't even stretch to fit the other dolls!
Everything is wrong!
All wrong!
'Why is this happening now?' he thought bitterly to himself.
'Can't this self doubt go away!' his grip on the dolls body starts to creak from the pressure being put on it. His mind starts to fill with these thoughts, the painful feeling that makes his hearts feel heavy, like they were about to burst out of his chest. Grabbing his head with hands he leans forward on his stool till his head was between his legs.
"Make it stop...please" he begs to no one.
knock..knock...knock..
The dark bubble in his head pops.
Those tiny little knocks.
His baby gir Rin.
The door opens and turning his head to see her smiling face. Large dead fish like eyes stared into his own green irides, they were pupiless and the rest of his eyes had red sclerae. Both father a daughter share the dead eyes look, it's kind of funny since she has a more "normal" look about her that her mother and father. Rin walks over and stands in front of her father before moving to the side and lifts her arms up. Kakuzu chuckles and picks up his daughter making sure that she was secured with one arm around her waist as they face his bench, "Who made you that outfit sweetheart? It looks nice on you." he comments looking down at the girl.
"Mama made it for me last night! It's a one piece suit that has dark purple ruffles. She even made me this black cami to go onto of it." his hearts flutter when she looks up at his with her buck tooth smile.
It's funny...
Sometimes he doesn't know how he was blessed with this little girl. He wonders the same thing about his wife as well. He doesn't deserve either of them in his life. "So whatcha makin' papa?" she asked glancing around the slightly dirty table.
"Is it a new toy?"
"Yes it is. I'm just a little stuck, that's all." he says.
Rin wiggles in her fathers grip and gets down from his lap and stands on her tippy toes to see some of the other toys her had on the bench. Her eyes widened as she saw one doll that stood out from the others, "Papa! How about this one?" she jumps a little bit to grab the leg of one of the dolls, after a few more jumps she gets a good grip and pulls to doll towards her. Thrusting the doll into her father's face.
Kakuzu gazed at the doll that his daughter picked out and smiles, she always did have a knack at helping his pick out the best dolls. This doll was a little different, it was a chubby dancing doll. He never saw a lot of chubby dolls period so he thought that making one of his own would be the first start, this was one of his FIRST creastions back in high school. It's circular head was pure white as the rest of her body, her tiny eyes were closed and painted black along with her small eyebrows her black hair was in two buns on the side of her head being held with two bright red bows. Two large red circles drawn on her face with a large smile and tiny drops of red lipstick on her lips. She was wearing a large kimono that went over the hands.
Rin watches as her father takes the doll from her hands and closes his eyes. The child was always amazed by her fathers quirk; how he can make any doll alive.
"Hehehe!"
"So cool!" Rin says as her father pets her head the smooth skin was cool against his stitches. Both watch as the doll stands up on her pointed toes and spins a little in her fathers palm, making the sleeves flow around her. His green eyes stare into his daughters black ones, "You must learn to handle your own quirk so that one day you can make your own dolls."
"Yup! And maybe you'll be able to use these "cool" strings mama uses!" a alto like voice, not to deep and not too soft.
Both father and daughter turn to the door and Rin runs to the woman's leg gripping the dark sheer stockings, looking up she shows her buck teeth, "Hi mama!"
"Hello Daiki. You're home early." Kakuzu says giving his wife a smile.
Daiki was a curvy woman who had slight muscle on her arms and legs. Her face was a bit chubby, three beauty marks one under right eye and two on the right side of her upper lip. Her dark brown dreads her pulled up into a large bun being held with a bright blue headband. Dark grey button-actual buttons for eyes-look down at her daughter and picks her up holding the six year old in her arms. "The school had a half a day today so I was able to come home a bit early. I brought dinner!" he watches as her plump lips stretch into a large smile showing the small gap between her teeth.
"Yes..that means I can see your beautiful face." cheesy he knows, but it always seemed to make her laugh.
"Kazu, you always know how to make me blush!" Daiki hides her face with her other hand and Rin giggles. One of the black strings slip from her hair and rubs his face to she her affection. "Well, why don't we all go and and eat dinner? It's Tea leaf salad with white rice and a fried egg. Annnd I brought dangos!"
Rin cheers throwing her hands in the air.
"Yay! Dangos!" Kakuzu chuckles as he watches the two.
Kakuzu stands up and turns off the light on his bench, he sits the newly made doll in a glass container so that he remembers to make more just like her. He watches as his two favorite girls walk out the room and down the hall to the kitchen, hearing the laughter and Rin's voice as she tells her mother how her day was. The thoughts in his head went away, nothing but his daughter and wife filled his mind and made his hearts feel warm.
This sounds morbid, but if he were to die today he hopes they would be in his thoughts. That happiness that makes him feel whole when he's with them.
Yeah...
That's how he feels now-
Happy.
AN:
Welcome to my first fanfiction! I hope you guys like it and please ignore the grammar/ spelling mistakes since I don't have a editor. Feedback is greatly appreciated!
Now, you might be thinking what was the top part all about? Well, Kakuzu has serious anxiety and slight depression. He really doubts himself (like A LOT), so he sometimes has these breakdowns as you saw. He tries his best to keep it from his daughter since she looks up to him alot. His wife already knows that he goes through his and continues to help him, even when they were in high school.
Like I said in the beginning of the chapter Kakuzu is based off of the same Kakuzu from Naruto so both are the same in each way( except for the anxiety and depression). His quirk is called Doll: he can make dolls out of any type of material and with his 5 hearts he can put enough energy to make them alive. He mostly works well with woodend dolls but if working with fire for example he makes metal dolls. The only set back with his quirk is that he can't give out too much energy in risk of one of his hearts failing and him going into a coma or worse dying.
Rin's mother on the other hand comes from a long line of doll like quirks hence her buttons for eyes( and yes they work as regular eyes), and her quirk is called Black String: Her dreads are mostly used for her quirk since they are made of strings, she can also make tiny black strings come from any part of her body and use them as a form of defence. Sometimes they have a mind of their own (think of them like Medusa's snakes but she doesn't turn anyone to stone). Some setbacks with her quirk is that it's a terrible quirk for fire/water help. Fire can set her hair aflame and it takes a long time for them to grow back and water makes her hair too heavy to move.
Both of them are heros underground heros, Daiki works at U.A. as 3rd year History teacher/homeroom teacher. And her hero name is Mrs. Doll. Kakuzu is a part time doll maker for the shop that he owns called "K&D's Dolls. His hero name is Drosselmeyer.
No that the little (long) note is over with, please leave a comment and add a heart! Can't wait to see you soon!
