Girls Dead Rise
A Young Writer's Guide to Working on the GDR Series
A lone young adult boy sat on a green, comfy chair, while typing away furiously at his poor, but effective black laptop. The laptop sat, moaning on top of a white desk that was clean, but not needs to be a little cleaned up again.
"Will you stop overworking on this?" the laptop asked with a surprisingly fluid voice, despite clearly sounding mechanical.
"I am working," he replied at his computer. "Almost done..."
"There!" he screamed.
"Whew!" the laptop moaned. "You've finally finished updating the whole story."
"Yes!" he replied. "Now, I am going back to working on my story!"
"Wait!" the laptop interjected. "What about the story submissions?"
"Huh?" he asked.
"You forgot..." the laptop groaned. "Keizoku and Pravda both sent you a request. You have their drafts, I suppose?"
"Well," he began. "I-"
"Nonna!" a voice roared over the laptop communicator. "Let me talk!"
"Ahem!" a young voice coughed through the communicator.
"I can't believe it," he sighed.
"Seeker!" Katyusha roared from the communicator attached to the laptop. "When are you done with Keizoku?"
"Five chapters or so," he answered. "So, three more to go."
"Augh!" she moaned. "Can't believe they went first!"
"First come, first served," Seeker grunted. "So, the new story, 'GDR: Finnish Fury,' is in full swing. Hopefully, once I finish that, I can work on yours."
"That will take a long time!" she groaned.
"Patience," Seeker told the girl. "Plus, now that I have finished updating my story, I am going to work on Chapter 11."
"Then that will delay you further!" Katyusha roared.
"Precisely," he replied. "But I will get to your story."
"Make sure you do..." she hissed, before turning off.
He sighed.
"Well," the laptop interjected. "That was something. Katyusha still is mad that her story came in second."
"Actually," he replied. "I have more plans..."
"Huh?" the laptop asked.
"You will see," Seeker winked. "You will see..."
So, this is a sort of poking fun at my own writing style and speed. It is also an announcement on what I plan for this seris:
1) Message me or send me a story of your favorite GuP team or school to be in their own adventure in "Girls Dead Rise" (not Anglerfish, since it's already the MC team). I am still open to doing this, although my hands are quite full...
2) The updates to my story, "Girls Dead Rise," are finally done!
3) "Girls Dead Rise" will get updated with a new chapter, Chapter 11!
4) "GDR: Finnish Fury" is the first spin-off of the GDR series.
5) Another spin-off will begin after the Keizoku, featuring the Pravda.
6) If possible, I also intend to feature a story that focuses on the lives of both Saunders and St. Gloriana. If anyone is interested in doing this, let me know!
