AN: So I had this idea while at school today, and I decided to write it down. I have no idea if Frazer Hines can actually sing or not, and I'm not asking him, so if this isn't correct, just think of it as a UA, kay? Kay.

Chastity's POV

Little Chastity lay on the bed, a blanket drawn snugly over her. A candle was lit on the table next to her, and she could see her grandfather's sillouette sitting with his back to her in front of the dying embers of the fire. It was late in the evening, maybe nine or ten, and Chastity had been lying there for an hour and could not get to sleep. So she sat up.

"Papa?" she whispered. "I can't sleep."

Jamie had been leaning over the table in front of the fire, entranced in writing a letter. Chastity didn't know he knew how to write until the other day, when she found a tattered piece of paper signed by him on the nightstand one day. But as soon as he heard his granddaughter's voice, he turned around.

"The tea's not helping, then?" Chastity shook her head. Jamie sighed, and got up from his spot. Taking the candle that he had with him, he walked over to Chastity and placed it on her nightstand. Then, he sat at the foot of her bed.

"I'm sorry, papa." the five year old whispered.

"For what? I wasn't doing anything important."

"Yes, you were. You were writing a letter."

Jamie laughed softly. "The person I was writing the letter to would never get it anyway. So it's not that important- certianly not more important than my imsomniac granddaughter."

"Don't call me that, papa! It makes me feel like I'm sick or somethin'." Jamie chuckled and ruffled his granddaughter's hair. Normally, he tried to keep up a tough act around everyone else, but a few could people could break through that and make him get all emotional. Chastity was one of those people. The others were long gone.

"That won't make me stop, you know. Now...you want me to sing the song, don't you?"

"Yes! Can you?" Jamie did a mock sigh of defeat.

"Fine. I guess I don't have a choice." Chastity giggled, and collapsed back onto the covers. She closed her eyes, and through the blackness she could hear Papa singing.

"Ah-ri-rang, ah-ri-rang, ah-ri-rang-o.

Climbing the mountians of Ah-ri-rang-o.

Walk beside me, we'll sing as we go.

Over all the little hills of Ah-ri-rang-o.

Ah-ri-rang, ah-ri-rang, ah-ri-rang-o.

Climbing the mountians of Ah-ri-rang-o.

Ah-ri-rang, ah-ri-rang, ah-ri-rang-o.

Walk beside me, we'll sing as we go.

Climbing the mountians of Ah-ri-rang-o. "

Jamie's POV

Five minutes later, after singing the lullaby a few times, Jamie could hear his granddaughter snoring. Looking over at her, he saw her dark ginger hair splayed out on the pillow in the candlelight, and her features were peaceful in sleep. Smiling softly, he leaned over and kissed her on the cheek. "Goodnight, Chastity." Then, he walked back to the chair in front ot the fire, and continued to write his letter, late into the night.

AN: The song is called Ahrirang. It's a traditional Korean song that I happen to be singing in my mixed choir this year.
