Deep within the inner sanctums of the Maple World, lies a secret and mysterious organisation. Installed by the now long gone Nexon deities in aeons past, the Ordus Protegius commonly known as the 'Shades', protect the unknowing maple community from dangers that are too much for the lower orders*. These secret tasks and operations are carried out at a rapid pace, quickly isolating and destroying problems effectively, leaving the public none the wiser. However, sometimes in the maple world, a foe so great arises that the order is caught up in a significant conflict that systematic research is required to find the target's weakness, strength and any other information that would help. These pieces of information are stored in the 'Black Library', an ancient archive of the most secret intel. Few walk between the dusty columns of ancient wood and fewer still read from the fragile tomes stored here for this is where Maple's most darkest threats and powers are recorded.
