Last sorry

Shining down on the night's world, the moon made its way up upon the sky, melancholy lying in the air as the wind gently blew a few of the autumn's leaves, the once so colourful forest long forgotten. The grass swayed with every breeze making a quite rustling noise, nothing noticeable in contrast to the undying noise of the leaves.

A crunching noise throughout the forest made the Pokémon living there suspiciously. For all, it was a fast running noise of a little Pokémon. Its light brown fur and the even lighter fur around its neck and at the end of its tail let other recognize it as an Eevee.

Its dark brown eyes threatened to overflow with tears as it ran to its destination. A hill, a few minutes away from the forest.

Reaching the top of the hill, the Eevee spotted immediately a dog-like Pokémon, its grey fur reflection the moonlight.

"See, you finally came?" the other Pokémon, a Poochyena, said coldly. "Why meeting me?"

Silence overcame the two, as the Eevee made its way next to the Poochyena, gazing at the moon above them.

"I. . ." the Eevee began, its feminine voice softly floating away with the never ending wind "We can't see each other again. I'm sorry, but I have my responsibilities."

Coming back, the silence engulfed them in tension, mixed with horror and heartbreak. The Poochyena stared at the Eevee for some time, before finally registering what she meant.

"Yeah, I'm sorry, too, Lisa," he said softly, eyes closed "How come I knew this day would come?"

It was one of those questions you didn't want an answer for, but it came anyway, crushing down on you, breaking you into peaces.

"Fate, Tom, fate," Lisa, the Eevee, sighed, tears now running down her face.

It broke his heart knowing that he would never see her again, his love. Even if he had acted coldly around her sometimes, he still loved her and she knew it. But fate had never wanted them to be together, Lisa being the daughter of two highly respected Pokémon, an Umbreon and an Espeon, couldn't be with someone like him.

He would bring it to nothing but a thief, not able to find work in the society properly. He wasn't one of them and they never wanted him to be, being the son of an affair.

Once, the two of them had thought about how it would be, if they would be accepted as a couple in the society, but they would never be.

And now the whole truth came crushing down on him, crushing and taking everything he had. His life, his hope, his love. Without her, it wouldn't be life any loner, he couldn't face the day again, with it's pure and bright light shining down happily onto the world as if there was no harm in it.

"I'm sorry, but I have to go," Lisa sobbed, turning away from Tom and running away, not wanting to face him or his voice ever again for her own heart's sake.

Horrified, he watched her run away, screaming so loud, loud enough for her to hear "Please, don't leave me! I love you! Don't. . ."

Then, he broke down sobbing, tears running down his face, while he felt himself losing his will to live on without her. It was as if someone had just opened him up and took his heart away from him, leaving a big, dark hole of sadness and depression.

Would the pain of losing her ever go away or would he lose himself in the pain of his broken heart? Laying down onto the soft grass of the hill, he sighed.

"Sorry, for not being one of the upper society, Lisa," he murmured, closing his eyes and letting his tears flow down his face again. "I wish I would have been one of them to be with you. I'm sorry. . ."
