Nervous

A/N
This is a prequel to my multiple one shots story, "Look at me." If you haven't read that, this won't make as much sense. Anyway this story was also inspired by events that didn't have anything to do with "look at me," so yeah. That statement was rather pointless if you don't know me personally, so let's just get on with it. Read and review ^^
"Nervous?"
"Of course I am!"
Kiba chuckled. "I can tell tonight's going to be eventful."
Naruto tried to relax. "Who's stupid idea was this anyway?"
"My idea ain't stupid, stupid," Shikamaru said casually.
"Naruto, you've got to trust Shikamaru. You do this right, and you're definitely in."
Naruto turned around, looking at the one who made that comment.
"What if she doesn't like me, Chouji? Then this whole thing becomes pointless!"
Shino looked at him. "You are more of an idiot than I thought, Naruto."
"Hey!" Naruto go out of his chair. "I'm not an idiot, I'm just..."
"Nervous?" Chouji put out.
Kiba laughed. "Back to where we started."
Shikamaru sighed. "It's simple Naruto, at tonight's party, the first thing you do is find her. Get her used to you company before doing anything else."
"Meaning try not to make her faint," Shino helpfully added.
Shikamaru continued. "After that, find somewhere private and tell her how you feel."
Naruto sat back down, a defeated look on his face. "It's going to be a long night, isn't it?"
Kiba smiled at him. "Take my advice Naruto, just be yourself, and have some fun."
"Which is exactly what you're going to do, right Kiba?" Shino asked.
Kiba just grinned.
"And if it fails?"
Shikamaru groaned. "Naruto, trust me, it won't. Even if something happens, this whole event will stay between the five of us. No troublesome women will interfere, alright?"
Naruto seemed more confident. "Alright."
Kiba maintained his grin, Shino nodded his way, Chouji placed a hand on his shoulder, and Shikamaru gave a satisfied smirk.
"You got this."
Naruto grinned as well. Tonight's party would mark more than just Hinata's birthday.
"Yeah, I got this."
