"Iruka-san." Kakashi called his name while walking through the door.
The room empty. Background noise to the television. He slipped through the hallway and and found Iruka sitting on the bed. He flipped channels slowly looking for something to entertain himself. Kakashi sat down beside him. The wrinkles of the bed spread into a spiderweb telling the chunin his lover secrets.
"Iruka I think we should talk about our pasts."
Iruka bounced from his sitting position. He held his chest and ran for the bathroom. Kakashi grasped his wrist before he could make it to the restroom. Pulling him into his embrace. Iruka blushed a great red. He knew Kakashi didn't mean to make him uncomfortable, but sometimes it happened.
"What's wrong?" Kakashi asked
A frown arrived into his eye. Iruka pulled down his mask. No need for such formalities.
"I'm just not comfortable with talking about those type of things."
Iruka turned away with a guilty look. Kakashi pulled his chin towards him. Iruka looked so innocent. So sweet. Like nothing could disturb his state of mind.
"I'm not going to force you, but I feel we should talk about these things."
He felt bad not letting Kakashi know. Not letting him know his feelings, but it was such a touchy subject. A subject he hadn't approached in a long time maybe even never.
"I can't."
Iruka's vision went blurred and he fell to his knees. He knew Kakashi did something, just what could he of done with just that slight touch. He was gonna kill him.
"What did you do to me?" Iruka slurred.
Something wasn't right, why would Kakashi do that. Or was his own stupidity from staying in the rain. Kakashi held him holding him simply to keep him from falling unconscious. He could hear Iruka erratic breathing, he knew something was wrong. Iruka wasn't even able to reply.
"Iruka. Iruka look at me!" Kakashi screamed.
When Iruka woke up he was sleeping in his bed. A wet towel on his forehead. He sat up and the towel rolled onto his lap. Kakashi came in then sitting down by him.
"You had a very horrible fever on top of a numbing poison from you last mission. They had a bad reaction with each other. Your fine."
That's all he said before head towards the door. He looked hurt. Maybe it was just the shock from the event or maybe it was something more. Something Iruka would regret doing. Did he say something in his sleep. Did he misplace Kakashi's book again?
"Kakashi-sensei!" He called out.
It was too late he had left the room. But it didn't stop Iruka from calling his name repeatedly. Kakashi peered over the edge of the doorway. Iruka was covering his eyes. Kakashi stepped in.
"I heard everything about you in your sleep last night. I just felt we should talk about it so you felt you told me face to face."
Iruka looked up suddenly. A blush dressing his face.
"Did I say anything embarrassing?"
Kakashi leaped onto the bed and took him into his arms.
"I love you. Your such a goofball."
(Later that night)
"Your talking again."
"No reason to smack me in my sleep."
"I mean it with all the love I have to offer."
"What I say."
"Damn-it lets make this clear."
"What?"
"I love the hell out of you, but no Naruto will not move in with us."
