The night sky is filled with flames, fireworks, rebel fighters and stars. I've never been so happy to see the stars; after all, a few hours ago I thought I would never get another chance to see them again. Ever since I was a child I knew my destiny was to travel among them one day. I learned at a young age that in order to freely travel explore them I would have to do it illegally. The Empire saw to that. I had no idea that I would have apart in bringing down the same empire that made me a smuggler. I shift my gaze from the night sky to my friends, Luke and Leia. It's hard to believe that I've only known them for a little while. I can still remember the day that crazy old man came in and asked me for a ride. I had thought he was senile- who'd of thought he was a Jedi! And who'd of thought that his ride would forever change my life. Leia comes and stands next to me with her head leaning on my shoulder. Luke is staring at something in the distance, I'm not sure what. An obscure memory pops into my head. We were in a command room on the Death Star waiting for Ben to return. I had just sat down when R2 started to beep excitedly about something. C3 asked him what he was all hyped up about, and R2 said something about the princess being there. I can still see how excited Luke was, he wanted to go after her. I thought the whole thing would be a suicide mission. Luke leaned over to me and whispered in my ear that were I to rescue her the reward would be greater than anything I could imagination. As I wrap my arm tighter around Leia, I can't help but agree with him. The reward was far greater than any I could have imagined.
