Harry sat at his desk in his office, oblivious to the world around him. His best friend Ron looked on as his friend slaved away at pile after pile of paperwork.

"Come on mate, you've been reading those for hours. If you don't take a break you are going to go blind. Besides, I've heard something about you and the boys needing to buy an owl or two?"

Harry sighed and leaned away from his desk. He had been reading for so long that it actually took a few minutes for his eyes to adjust back to normal, eyes that had the dark bags of a person who hadn't slept in days.

"It's the nightmares again isn't it?" Ron asked.

Harry nodded, "Yeah, they seem to be just as bad as when the war ended is all."

Ron nodded and stared into the flames of the fireplace. "Some days it's Fred, he comes in walking through the front door and he's alive. Talking and joking, and then he is… just suddenly dead and gone." He let out a long breath, "and then other days, other days it's Hermione. Back at the mansion, screaming over and over again."

"I see Colin, and Fred. On the bad days Tonks and Remus are there too." He pulled his glasses off and shut his eyes.

"Daddy!" he looked up to see his daughter running towards his office, her mother and brothers farther back.

He quickly replaced his glasses and stood up, ruffling her hair when she hugged him. "Hey Lily bear. What are you guys doing here?"

"Mummy said that we had to make you stop working. We're going to the pet store; mum said I had to ask you for a kitty. Can I have one please?"

He laughed and unwrapped his daughters arms, "and just who is going to take care of this cat?" He started the minor cleaning involved for his office, "you know it's a big reasonability."

"Apparently your daughter has gotten it into her head that should anything go wrong we can just magic it away." Ginny said herding their sons in, "feet off the desk Ron.

Ron groaned from Harry's vacated desk chair, and dropped his feet to the floor. "Sometimes Ginny I think you take lessons from Hermione."

Harry kissed his wife's cheek, "She does. What did they do this time?"

"Oh you know. 'Mum! He hit me, and so on, and so on." She said rolling her eyes.

Harry laughed, "Okay, well since you came all the way here I suppose we can go now." Ginny shot him a grateful look and herded the three kids back out.

"Don't worry mate, just remember that they always stop eventually." Ron said from behind him.

Harry glanced back at his friend, who had his face buried in an upside down book. He smirked, so like Ron to say something deep and then hide from it. After pocketing his wand, and the faithful old pocket watch he closed the door to the office. Surely Ron would remember to lock it.

"Come on dad, you got three impatient kids here!" James called down from near the elevator.
