ROSE
DIAGON ALLEY
It was a sunny cloudless morning when Rose woke up on the day she was meant to go to Diagon Alley. She could hear her younger brother Hugo snoring in the room next to hers. She opened her curtains and gazed out of the window and realised it was the perfect day to go shopping; there wasn't a cloud in sight, which wasn't very common for London. She ran downstairs in her pj's to see her dad a tall redhead sitting on the sofa and reading the daily prophet.
"Good Morning Dad!" she said sitting down next to him and picking up Crookshanks who was lying down on the carpet.
"Morning Honey," said Ron ruffling his daughter's curly red hair, "you ready to go to Diagon Alley."
"I can't wait!" said Rose, "will Al, James and Lily be there?"
"Harry told me he might be a bit late because they have to stop of at the Ministry for some business, but yes they'll be there."
"Oh ok I can't wait to go to Flourish and Blotts! But where is mum? I need to show her what extra books I want to buy!"
"Your mum will be down in a second she's in the shower, but what extra books do you need?" said Ron jokingly, "aren't the ones on the your Hogwarts booklist enough?"
"Dad, do you know who you are talking to? I can never have enough books!"
"Well alright then, go up and get dressed your mother should be out by now."
Rose ran back upstairs and her dad was right her mum was out, she gave her mum a quick kiss on the cheek and ran into the bathroom, brushed her teeth, had a shower, got dresses and ran back downstairs where she saw Hugo sitting in the breakfast bar stall with his face in his plate.
"Rose, honey," said Hermione, "please wake your brother up we're going to be late!"
Rose woke up Hugo, which he wasn't very pleased about they ate their breakfast and then they were ready to go to Diagon Alley.
"Are we going by car this year?" asked Hugo.
"Nope," said Ron, "we are going to be using floo powder."
Rose loved using floo powder even though the sliding part was slightly uncomfortable but she loved the warmth of the flames when she said "Diagon Alley!"
She was finally there, and it was amazing, Rose could never get bored of Diagon Alley, it as fascinating, she saw a woman selling some dragon hide in the corner just as Hugo came out.
"Where are mum and dad?" asked Rose.
"They're on their way, they said we could already go to Flourish and Blotts and wait for them there."
As she walked through the crowd to get to the bookstore she was many wizards and witches staring at them, not in a bad way but almost as if they were amused.
"I wonder why they're all staring," said Rose feeling uncomfortable.
"I don't know," said Hugo yawning, "and I don't care, I just want to sleep!"
"It's 12 o'clock!"
"Yeah, yeah just go and buy your books."
They entered the book shop and as usual she was fascinated as usual she first bought the school books that she would need for Hogwarts and then asked if they had the new edition of Hogwarts, a history yet. Unfortunately it was out of stock so she went into the jinxes section where she found a book that looked like it did not belong there at all.
