Captain Kirk stepped out of the shower, got his towel, tied it around him, and decided to look at something. The wad of hair in his shower drain.
"I have always wondered who's hair is in that drain," Kirk wondered. Lately he had been thinking about the weirdest things. "Maybe Spock could help me figure it out."
He toweled off, and put his clothes on. He picked the hair out of the drain and put it into a small plastic bag. He walked to Spock, and asked him if he would analyze the hair for him.
"I'd be happy, Jim," Spock said as he took the baggie of hair.
Kirk followed him into the lab, and Spock took the hairball and scanned it over a small computer.
About five minutes later, Spock had his results.
"Okay, are you ready?" Spock asked.
"Yes," Kirk said.
"Okay. The mass of hair contains strands that belong to about fifteen women. Among those women are Yeoman Rand, Uhura, Nurse Chapel, Chevara Chan, and some I don't know but you probably know REALLY well," Spock explained.
"Okay," Kirk nodded.
"And, some of the hair belongs to me," Spock said.
"YOU?? When did I have you in the shower??" Kirk asked.
"Remember that time my shower broke and I needed to use yours??" Spock asked.
"Oh...yeah..."
"Some of the hair, of course, belongs to you," Spock explained.
"Is that it?" Kirk asked.
"No, let me finish," Spock continued to explain. "And the rest of the hair is not just ordinary hair..."
"What is it?" Kirk asked curiously.
"It's fur," Spock said. "The fur from about ten different tribbles."
Since then, Captain James T. Kirk decided to lay off the weird questions, knowing he would probably keep getting weird answers.
