Relax

A Lethe and Lyre Fanfiction

By Nagone

Summary: There's nothing wrong with down time.

Genre: General

Rated: K

Lethe yawned, tongue lolling form her mouth, as she reclined against a weeping willow, body warm from the sun.

Welcoming the midday sun, both sisters let their bodies unwind, free from armor and bruises from sparring.

"Tis a fine noon, isn't it, sister?" Lyre purred, stretching out her hands to paw at the basket of goods they'd brought along. She speared a single grape and brought it to her mouth, lips smacking in approval as the sweet fruit burst, flavors flooding her mouth.

Lethe hummed her answer, eyes fluttering shut.

Typically, Lyre could be found in the wilds, running about the trees and mountains of Gallia, skin smudged with the Earth. Yet she'd returned to their tribal home, longing deeply for her sister.

The sunshine on her back made the visit even better, and for that, she was welcome. After all, neither of the sisters was used to relaxing. Between Lethe training new recruits to the Gallian Army and Lethe's constant travels, both girls rarely saw one another.

But as they sat beneath their willow, they felt at home, and that truly was all they needed to relax.
