Deryn stood outside of Alek's door, her hand, gripped into a fist, was in the air. Should she knock?
What would Alek do if she told him that she was a girl?
How would be react?
Would he accept her?
Would he look at her the same way, with the friendliness in it?
And what about if she told him that she loves him?
How would he react to that?
And would he accept that?
"Dylan? Dylan?" Alek's voice tuned into her head. "Dylan?"
"Huh?" She looked at Alek. He was staring at her with concern in his eyes.
"What are you doing here, Dylan?"
"Barking spiders! I must be tired!" She lied. "I thought I was headed towards my room. Sorry, you archdukeness."
"Haha, you are just plain weird some times, Dylan." Alek said before closing the door.
