The Boy-Who-Lived was no Hermione Granger, but he knew when something fishy was definitely going on. Especially when it concerned the aforementioned witch.

It first started when he bumped into her at Diagon Alley when he was picking up something for his wife, Ginny Weasley.

Now, it wasn't weird for him to occasionally encounter her since Hermione always insisted on running her own errands despite being the Minister of Magic.

What was unusual however, was when he had walked a few feet away from her, he came face-to-face with Draco Malfoy.

There wasn't any resentment between the blond and the Golden Trio anymore, but it was still weird to see the usually high and mighty heir to the Malfoy fortune at "peasant" places such as Diagon Alley.

He thought it was weird that Hermione didn't even greet Draco since the trio and Draco were on good terms now, or at least told him that Draco was also here. She would've definitely seen Draco, his platinum blond hair was hard to miss.

Second was in Hogsmeade. This time, Draco was the first one he encountered. He had been visiting James since it was his first Hogsmead visit and he wanted to see his son.

It was definitely strange to see Draco in Hogsmead because aside from the fact that he was rarely seen amongst the common-folk, Malfoy Manor was in Wiltshire and there were many wizarding villages near there and more suitable for rich purebloods like him.

Then he saw the unmistakable bushy head of hair of his bestfriend. He asked her what she was doing so far away from the Ministry or her apartment, Diagon Alley was closer to the both of those and she was all for efficiency and practicality.

Third was in the Ministry, he was visiting Hermione on her birthday, September 19th. He entered the lift and just when he was about to step out, he saw Draco in the corridor leading to Hermione's office.

Now, he knew that the Malfoy heir was working as a healer at St. Mungos despite having his massive family fortune, but St. Mungos was nowhere near the Ministry, and healers had no business in the ministry, let alone the Minister's office.

After his encounter with Draco at the Ministry, he sat on his couch, thinking back on his latest encounters with Draco and Hermione and came to a conclusion.

Draco Malfoy was stalking Hermione Granger.
