The Monitor Of The Ark

CHAPTER 1: A Lost Soul

So I wake up from a nap that I don't remember taking on the ground to find that I have somehow entered the Twilight Zone,I mean what else was there to say I couldn't tell where I was or remember how I ended up in this situation but just by taking a look around I could tell I had done goofed up royally somewhere along the to keep myself calm I take a good look at my surroundings and the first(amusing) thought in my head was that I was somehow in the animus from assassin's creed specifically the "memory corridor" the place you can run around in while the game loads, complete with the white digital looking floor, the misty grey fog 20ft away surrounding me on all sides, and the dark and ominous looking clouds with not a hint of thunder or lightning, honestly the only reason I could recognize the similarities was because I'm a fan of the series, but no matter how cool a part of me felt to be here the knowledge that the animus doesn't really exist and the stray thought about what else this place could possibly be led to two possible theories that terrified me more than anything else since waking up, one: this place was my mind and I was in a coma but I just didn't know it, or two: I died and this was where I ended up, both of those options scared me and each one was equally bad and I just hoped I could find a way out of here so after taking a few deep breaths and preparing myself I picked a random direction and my last thought before I walked off into the mist was " I really really hope I don't die but seeing as I didn't want to be here in the first place…I'm screwed ". Little did I know I was being watched by a floating metal sphere with three glowing white eyes that hummed with curiosity before following me at a steady pace content to watch me for the time being.

End Chapter one

I hope you enjoyed this first chapter even though it's not much this is my first fanfic and I'm planning on the other chapters being at least a thousand words each but time will tell. Hopefully I'll do a better job on the later chapters.
