16-year-old Rika Nonaka walked in her house and let out a groan. Her mother Rumiko and her grandmother Seiko looked at her and Rumiko asked, "What's wrong Rika?"
"Oh you know, people trying to kill me all freaking day," Rika went to her room and slammed the door.
Seiko sighed, "Rumiko, dear, I really wish you won't go on photo shoots and find a way to help your daughter."
"I know mother," Rumiko said, "What Rika needs is a body guard...just someone to keep her safe and kill the person who's trying to kill her." Seiko nodded and they began searching for one.
The following morning, the family of three had finished breakfast and heard a knock at the door. Rumiko stood up and said, "I got it. I have to get to a photo shoot soon anyways." she walked towards the door and opened it and saw a brunette, crimson eyed 16-year-old boy standing before her, "Hello, can I help you?"
"Good morning ma'am," the boy said, "My name is Takato Matsuki, I am the body guard you hired to protect Miss Rika Nonaka."
"You're the body guard," Rumiko sounded confused, "But you're the same age as my daughter."
"Don't let that fool you," Takato said.
Rumiko nodded and led Takato inside. Seiko and Rika looked up and Rika asked, "Mom, who's this?"
Rumiko sighed, "Rika, this is Takato Matsuki...your body guard."
"Body guard," Rika yelled and her mother and grandmother sighed, "I don't need a body guard, I told you that two months ago!"
"We know dear," Seiko said, "But every day someone tries to kill you. We're sorry we went behind your back, but we thought it'd be better."
Rika groaned and Takato said, "Miss Rika, your mother and grandmother have informed me someone has been trying to kill you for a few months. As your grandmother said, it might be better if I were around."
Rika remained silent and Rumiko said, "Well, I'm off," she hugged her mother and daughter and walked out of the house.
Seiko stood up, "Well I'm going to get the wash started. Rika, have a good day," she looked at Takato and said, "Protect my granddaughter."
"Yes ma'am," Takato nodded. Seiko kissed the top of Rika's head and walked out of the room, "Miss Rika, I believe it is time for you to go to school."
"Whatever," Rika stood up, "I guess you're going to follow me around all day?"
Takato nodded, "It's my job, Miss Rika. You're not going to get rid of my easily,"
Rika rolled her eyes and they started walking to Rika's school. While they were walking, Rika moaned, "Why did you answer my mother and grandmother when they hired you? I can protect myself, why don't you go to the arcade or something? I'll let my grandma know you protected me."
"Miss Rika I said it before and I'll say it again," Takato said, "You're not going to get rid of me easily. Your mother and grandmother hired me to protect you and that is what I'm going to do."
The sound of a screw becoming undone hit Takato's ears. He grabbed Rika by her shoulder's and pulled her back, "Look out!"
A sign landed inches in front of them. Takato looked up and saw the silhouette of four people run to the back of the building. He helped Rika up and asked, "Are alright, Miss Rika?"
"I'm uh...fine, thanks," Rika said, "Since I can't get rid of you, come on, I don't want to be late." Takato nodded and they continued to walk to Rika's school.
