A/N: "Crying for the moon", apparently an old saying Yusuke's mother told him. I was watching episode 95 of the Yuyu anime series and it just stuck out to me, the conversation between Yusuke and Koenma when they're on the swings and the whole episode of Yusuke's frustration with himself. It ended up being all poem-like. I'm not quite happy with it as I don't think it conveys all that Yusuke harboring in his head at this point in his life.

--

Crying for the Moon,

waiting near the door,

always wanting more,

but should I?

--

Gazing at the Stars,

needing that fire,

inside's deep desire,

what do I do?

--

I want what I cannot have,

I want what I already have,

but can I take both

and still be who I am?

--

No longer have a challenge,

to easy things become,

as I fight with myself,

how can I overcome?

--

Reaching all around me,

not finding what I want,

the search falling apart,

is life pointless?

--

is this all there is left?

--

Crying for the Moon,

like a stupid pack of wolves,

always wanting what's out of reach.

I really like the first two stanzas and the last stanza but it kind of falls apart in the middle. Not to mention the fact that I abandon all sense of rhyme and meter after the first two stanzas. And yes I am overcritical of everything actually. Thanks for reading!
