Harry crossed the yard of # 4 Privet drive, it was getting
dark and he would be punished especially after what happened last year with
the dementor and he would most likely think it was more important to get
home before dark because Voldermort would strike in the night o try and
fulfill the prophecy conjured almost 16 years ago.
The television had a news report on as Harry came in and started up the stairs. "If witnesses are to be believed multiple killing sprees have occurred throughout the area, citizens are warned to lock all doors and windows and do not go out after dark." Aunt Petunia looked worried after the last part for Dudley the Dursley's son was always staying out after dark to be with his gangster friends. "Autopsies of the death victims have shown no signs of suicide homicide strangulation or struggles so all deaths are pointed towards paranormal activity." With that said the Dursley's turned towards Harry.
Harry was NO ordinary boy. He was a 6th year at Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry. It was the best thing that happened to him on the fateful day 5 years and 364 days exactly.
As he sat on his bed, he couldn't believe that tomorrow was his 16th birthday maybe he could ask uncle Vernon to drive him to get his driver's license. He was thinking uncle Vernon would never ever take me out to get my drivers license maybe then I wouldn't have to waste his valuable time. Maybe it would take me longer to get to Diagon alley and to Kings Cross Station then to take me down to get my license.
Harry went back downstairs and into the dining room to get something to eat. Dudley had come home and was in there eating with his father. Dudley too had also turned 16 lately and not only had uncle Vernon took him too get his license he bought him a car too. Not to mention the newer computer the birthday party at a club the new toys video games and the new furniture for his room.
"So I was thinking." Harry began "that maybe tomorrow you could drive me down to get my drivers license or at least my learners permit?" "Why in the world would I do any thing of the sort?" inquired Vernon "because it would take less time to get my license then it would to take me to get all my supplies for school and to the train for school." "Good Point" said uncle Vernon" I guess I could take a week off for you to get your license.. And I could chip in a little for you to get a car." Harry got on his knees "Thank you Thank you Thank you."
And Harry ran up to his room to work on his summer work. Happy that for once in his life he was getting a decent birthday.
