Author's Note: This is a Lord of the Rings poem I did for English. Since I already wrote it I decided to post it here. I hope you enjoy
I remember the rolling hills where the halfling dwells
Ancient woods that no creature fells
An old man who has power in his song
A wanderer who would become king ere long
I remember a party of nine
Who's leader perished in the depths of Moria's mine
Struck down by darkness and flame
A Balrog of Morgoth, Durin's Bain
I remember the last march of the ents
Who's wrath struck down Isengard's stony defense
A wise man turned puppeted fool
Simply the Dark Lords tool
I remember the Tower of the Sun
Who's steward's watch is almost done
At it's heart a white tree
Brought from a land beyond the sea
I remember a mountain of fire
At the heart of a land most dire
Where began an evil power
Who's end would see a new age flower
I remember much that passed from the land
Some foul, others grand
Elves who passed beyond the sea
And their lands which cease to be
