wow, my second story! This is currently on hiatus to when I finish my last story, live love die, since this is a continuation of it.

The year was 1812 R.T.. The night sky gleamed with a broken moon and no stars. All of the stars were dead, and even the sun was close to dying.

"Alright honey... I will tell a story... About long before I was born. A kingdom of Illea... And a selection.

James's POV:

"Bella, no!" I struggled to pull Bella,"you are not going to the ball!"

"Why not?"

"Only your brother goes, you very well know that! Now get to your room and study! Tutor Gillard told me he was giving you a history test tomorrow!"

I watched in dismay as Rose, dresses in a purple dress, stomps over to join George.

"I can't wait to meet the prince of France!" Rose squealed.

I sighed."you both are not going."

Rose gasped. "Why?!"

"This is a political ball. If you go, it won't be formal. Only the heir to the throne goes. Now go to your room and study for your upcoming history test!"

Rose pouted, then smirked. "Can you help me study, father? Please?"

I sighed again. These kids were so needy! "Fine."

We walked to the royal library, where Rose immediately pulled out a history textbook. "Wow, glad to see you so excited about studying." I remarked.

Rose rolled her eyes."you don't know. Now read."

"Read?!" I exclaimed."I thought-"

"Please, daddy?" Rose gave me a look, and I read.

"After king James selected his queen, they had 3 children. George was the heir, with Rose and Bella as his daughter's. The couple declared the green act, helping revive the parks and beaches queen Elizabeth the tyrant had destroyed, and the building act, which led to better economy. Then they discovered a invention that were to change the world.

The dimension. Scientist Howard Lee of Illea invented this to travel dimensions. In this, the royal family traveled to a dimension where the world was destroyed and a country called Panem was left. They became allies, because of this. No one outside of Illea shall know of this invention. This year, the king has decided to do a Selection Hunger Games in honor of this alliance."

James smirked.

"The selection hunger games?!" Rose exclaimed.

"Yes."

"This year? For who?"

"I'm actually going to announce it this month, Rosey." James replied. "For George. 69 girls come, 24 from Panem and 35 from Illea. First is the hunger games, which when 35 girls are left, we will get them out and they will do a Selection... For George."

"I wish I had a Selection." Rose muttered.

James laughed."it's not as fun as you think."
