You know how everyone talks about life changing moments? That whole cliche line of fates coming together and intertwining people's lives because of a random incident? Yeah pretty cheesy right? Had I known the truth behind those words I probably wouldn't have took it as a joke. Oh I wish I had listened.
I wish I was able to change the things that I had said to my dear sister. I'd even apologize to my dad. I'd tell them how much I loved them, how much I wanted us to be a normal family. If I could go back and stop myself from picking up that book I would in a heartbeat. If I couldn't, I'd at least find a way to destroy it before things got out of hand.
I'm a horrible person. I should have listened. I should have seen the signs. But now they're gone and I'm alone.
Damn fate. Damn the book. But most of all, damn the monsters that came and took what small amount of happiness I was just starting to get back into my life. Oh yeah. Wanna know something more messed up than fate? How about finding out all that you've been told about monsters and fairy tales is a lie? Guess what? They exist. What's worse, they could be anyone you know.
I guess you're wanting to know who I am. You're wanting to put a name to the girl who is rambling on about the boogie man and pixies. I'm sure all of this makes me sound like some loony, and honestly if I hadn't seen them for myself, I would think I was crazy too. But even though my world is in shambles right now, there are three things I am certain about.
