Her skin. Pale as porcelain and striking against her bright blue eyes.
Blue eyes.
Clear as water.
But can be as stormy as rain.
Her hair. Sometimes in neat curls, others in a messy wave. Light brown with a teaspoon of red.
The way she bites her lip when she's nervous, or afraid, or even deep in thought.
When she tugs on her hair, anxious, waiting for something to happen.
How she presses her lips together when she's angry.
Her bottom lip pouting, a sarcastic response to one of his many jokes.
Her forehead getting scrunched up, the corners of her mouth pressed together, trying to avoid a frown. Or maybe even a tear. Eli hates it when she gets upset. Because when she gets upset, he always wonders if it's his fault.
He wonders who caused her sadness.
If he finds out, Adam knows he'll pound whoever it is. He'll do it without a minute to pass..
You wonder why? Still?
It's because Eli notices her, Clare Edwards. He notices the smallest things about her. He plays them over and over in his head, and all he can think about when he's around her is a way to get them to kiss.
Eli Goldsworthy loves a girl. He loves Clare Edwards. And it's beginning hard not to show it.
