It was a simple poison, really. Easy enough for someone of high military status to obtain.
Slipping it into a drink was all it took for the victim to drop dead within minutes. A quick and painless end; unexpected and unnoticed until the last seconds. Even the strongest and cleverest person could do nothing.
And death comes as one, swift fall for those too trusting.
