"What the fuck, Jeremy?" Lizzy screamed.

I cowered while Lizzy had another one of her outbursts. I can't say because it was her time of the month, or because she was crazy. Either way I was still scared of her.

It had been a week into high school and I still had been denying the fact we were boyfriend and girlfriend, but we practically were at this point.

"Lizzy, calm down. I'll stop next week," I say, trying to console her.

Despite what I said, Lizzy snarls. "CALM. DOWN? Jeremy Fink. If you could say one thing before I killed you, what would it be?"

Her breathing slowed, and I practically saw her calculating her next move in her head.

"I-" I was cut off by her kissing me. It was weird, because even though we claimed to be 'BF and GF', we had never done anything romantic.

Crying, Lizzy stomped out of the room. "They're all the same," she muttered.

"Lizzy," I start, but before I can say anything, she slams the door and puts up the foil between her wall and my wall.

I felt weird. We had never kissed, and I never felt romantic feelings for her, but yet-I started to feel her pain.

"Wassup, dude!" I exclaim, seeing my buddy Jason coming towards me in the halls.

Jason nods. "You and that girl still going out? Her friends say you guys aren't friends anymore."

I wince. "I'm not really sure at this point, Jase."

The bell rings and I hurry to class, the one class I have with Lizzy. Sadly, at the beginning of the year, I decided to pick a seat right next to her, so when I sat down I nervously looked down at my homework, only acknowledging the teacher.

"Welcome, freshman. Today we are going to work on..." The teacher begins to blabber on about some project, while I sneak glances at Lizzy, who is furiously staring straight ahead.

I take a deep breath and grab her hand, hoping she won't shake it off. And...success! She didn't let go. Eventually we shook each other off because we needed to write something down, but it was nice to know she wasn't completely mad at me.

During our free period Lizzy came up to me. "Um, sorry about last night...um...I just got carried away, and it was wrong of me to get mad at you."

I smile guardedly. "So we're cool?"

She nods. "Besides, what you did in geometry today was pretty cool."

Lizzy gives me a quick kiss on the cheek and hurries away to her next class before I can react.

"Dude, she totally wants you." Jason's voice shocks me into reality.

I shrug. "We've been friends forever, it can't be that serious."

Jason winces. "I don't know. Some friendships to turn into lifelong relationships, so just be careful, okay?"

I nod. Jason telling me to be careful? Seems odd.

"Got to go," Jason announces.

"Bye!" I call after him.

Sorry the chapter was a little short, I'm just trying to get started! xD
