Danny's POV:
"You need to be more careful, Danny. These cuts could turn into scars soon!" My sister, Jazz, has always had my best interests at heart. Even when she is getting on my very last nerve, she makes sure that I am better off. And I guess, in a way, I could always count on her to help me when I needed it. Which, most of the time, consisted of her bandaging my battle scars every night.
" It's not my fault that Skulker got a new weapon." I mutter, cringing at the thought of the pain I endured just a few hours before.
" Some of these look really bad. Are you sure you don't want to go to the hospital?" My ever concerned sister asked for the millionth time. How many times could I say no before she took the hint?
" Jazz, I've already told you. I don't want to worry mom and dad over this. Besides, I'll be healed by morning. One of the perks of being half dead." That seemed to shut her up for the time being. Once she was finished, Jazz gave me a once over. I knew she could see the bags under my eyes and sickeningly pale skin. How could she see it but my own parents couldn't?
" Danny, I want you to remember something. Even when this town is being unappreciative, you will always be a hero to me. You've saved countless lives day after day, despite what it does to you! You're a true hero Danny; Never forget that. And know that I'll always be here for you." With a kiss on the forehead, Jazz left the room. It's nights like these that make it all worth it.
