Prologue – And Thus, The Story Begins
Disclaimer: I don't own Skip Beat.
Someday the two of us looked at the image/vision in front of the station.
Even now your favorite song is repeating.
"I like it too", I said
I already seem to dislike you if it's for your sake.
...I will never leave you
Although I deleted all the mails from you,
The gentle voice will not disappear from my memory.
"If one wish comes true"
I yearn for the same thing
I wanna be with you
Alone Again – Yuna Ito
Kyoko's face burned in anger as she watched Fuwa Sho's Light's Love MV play on TV. How many times has it played? A million? The lyrics burned in her memory as bitterness burned across her face. Pain flowed across her eyes as flashbacks of a few months ago crossed her mind. She shook her head and forced those memories out of her head. It was the one scar in her that had not healed yet.
"HE'S SO DREAMY!" The girl next to her squealed, pointing to the T.V. Kyoko put on a pained smiled before walking away, her demons drearing behind her. He was at the height of his fame while she was just a random celebrity that no one knew... yet. She hated the Fuwa endorsements. She hated going to a grocery store and hear them playing his top song. She hated everything about him. It disgusted her to no end.
"So I'm just a useless toy, aren't I?" She muttered to herself, biting the tears away. It wasn't time to cry. She worked hard for this career and she couldn't let such a useless person get in the way of her life. He threw her away. It was time to let go, yet why did she feel pain? She gritted her teeth before throwing a twenty dollar bill on the table and stomping off. It wasn't her day to begin with.
"Stupid Fuwa. So you just had to haunt me wherever you go, don't you?" Kyoko was angry. Angry at the unfairness of the world. Angry at how people treated her. Most of all, angry at herself for still keeping the feelings for Shotaro. She sat down on a bench on the park as people pointed. So she wasn't entirely unknown in the celebrity world – I mean, she was well-known for her commercial about bubble tea, but that was the only major project she had on her world so far, besides being the makeup artist for Fuwa Sho.
"Miss," someone said in a soft voice, tugging on the ends of her skirt. She looked down at the poor girl.
"Would you like to buy a candle?" The young girl asked, giving Kyoko a puppy face. All of Kyoko's anger melted as she dug her purse for a few dollars. "You can make light it and make a wish. It might just come true."
"A wish, huh?" Kyoko muttered to herself, staring at the candle. "I wish to rise above all others and become the top of the entertainment society. I want to see Fuwa Sho's face cringe as I prove to him that dumping me was a mistake."
I will get my revenge, Fuwa Sho. I will destroy you.
