Author's Note: Good news, everyone! I finally saw Cars 3! It came out on Amazon Video a couple of days ago. Hell, it is better than the original! Of course, I have to write a fan fiction for this gem. I wanted to for almost a year, but I wanted to see the movie first to get inspiration and to know the new characters. This is going to be a Cruz Ramirez x Jackson Storm fan fiction and is set right after the Florida 500.

This chapter is just an introductory chapter. It won't have any dialog, but it will have some x character P. about the Florida 500. Please enjoy! :)

Chapter One: Pilot

The Florida 500 was one of the most unbelievable races in the history of sports! The supposedly unbeatable Jackson Storm had finally been beat!

It was the happinest day of Cruz's life, winning her first race. Never in a million years did Cruz think she can beat THE Jackson Storm! Her eyes filled up with tears of joy as Bob Cutlass and Darrell Cartrip announced her as the winner of the Florida 500. Lightning McQueen had never been more proud of someone!

Lightning McQueen's P.O.V.

I'm not gonna lie. When I first met Cruz, I thought she was completely clueless about racing. I mean, she was a trainer. A trainer who didn't care about my career being on the line, but when she told me how much she wanted to be a racer and how hard she tried to get there only to become a trainer, my heart broke for her. It must be the worst feeling in the world...working hard to achieve something only to find yourself somewhere else. I am really glad I decided to give her another chance, because she proved herself to be one of the best racers on the track. I had faith in her, of course, but I never thought that she would be able to beat Jackson Storm. I am proud to be the mentor of this amazing racer!

Cruz Ramirez's P.O.V.

Wow! Being on the track is the best feeling in the world! It was the feeling I had been yearning for since I was little. My family raised me to dream small. They would say "Dream small, not at all." I thought they were just trying to protect me from failure to achieve something huge. But when Lightning McQueen came into my life. He helped me regain faith in myself. He helped me believe that I can be more than a trainer. I am truly grateful that he gave me a chance to prove to everyone that I was meant to be a racer. Thanks to Lightning McQueen, I was able to do what no other racer could! I beat Jackson Storm. I am so grate to have Lightning as my crew chief and mentor. Thank you, Mr. McQueen! Thank you for giving me a chance!

Jackson Storm's P.O.V.

This was not supposed to happen. I was supposed to remain undefeated. I train for hours on end everyday to strengthen my engine and remain faster than the other next generation racers. And I got beat by someone who wasn't even meant to race. I felt a mixture of disappointment and anger when they announced Cruz as the winner instead of me. I think I have found the worst feeling in the world: Defeat.
