A/N Another theory fic! Except this time, it's about why Mario isn't in Luigi mode. It still kinda makes no sense. It's supposed to be kinda sad. I own nothing.

The Baby Luma was curious. Curious as to why everyone was sad. When he asked Mama, she would stay silent and look out to the stars. When he asked Luigi, he would just stare at his feet. He also wondered what was up with Luigi. He would avoid the Fountain, and if he had to go to it, he would avoid looking at Battlerock Galaxy.

So the Baby Luma deduced that everyone was sad because of something in Battlerock Galaxy. He just had to find out what.

"Luigi, you missed a Star in Battlerock Galaxy."

"No I didn't."

"Yes you did. It says so on the map."

Luigi sighed, and with that, they launched off to Battlerock Galaxy. Luigi was in a rush, the Baby Luma noticed, trying to get through the galaxy as fast as possible. The end of the galaxy was reached easily and quickly, but it wasn't going to be easy. The last two disks floated there, with a Star stuck in a cage on the first disk. Luigi hoped they could get this over with quickly.

"What's under the first disk?" The Baby Luma was simply curious.

"Nothing." Luigi responded quickly, which probably meant something was there.

The Baby Luma, wanting to find out, somehow dragged Luigi to the underside. He would soon regret it. There was barely anything there, except pieces of what seemed to be a cage, red stains, and a hat. A red hat. The Baby Luma floated over to it, not noticing the tears starting to flow from Luigi's eyes. He picked it up. And everything came back to him.

He was in Battlerock Galaxy. Luigi was stuck again, so once again, another save Luigi mission. It was easy to get through the main part of the galaxy, since he was been here before. Only bad part was that he got shocked twice and so now he was on last slice of life. The Bullet Bill followed after him, which meant this was going to be over quickly. As he reached the cage, he tripped, with fatal consequences. The Bullet Bill hit him, destroying the cage, but taking away his las slice of life in the process.

"Mario? Stay with me! Your game can't be over now!" Tears started flowing down Luigi's face. "Come on, we can get out of here and Rosalina can heal you!"

"It's too late Luigi. I have to go now. Save Peach for me, would ya?" With that, Mario's eyes closed and he stopped speaking.

"Mario? NOOOOOOO! It's all my fault! I should have gone somewhere else! If I haven't gone here, his game wouldn't have ended!" Luigi walked over to Mario's body, and pulled it onto his back.

He grabbed the Star, with the tears flowing freely. When he landed, all the Lumas noticed. They asked what happened, and when Luigi finished explaining, they became silent.

"Luigi, would you like me to give Mario a second chance? He won't be the same, but he'll still be alive." Rosalina was also grieving Mario.

Luigi, upon hearing this offer, accepted immediately.

Rosalina waved her wand, and Mario's body started to glow. It transformed into a ball of light, which then shaped itself into a Baby Luma. The Baby Luma floated gently into Rosalina's hand. She handed it to Luigi, who could only stare.

The Baby Luma turned to see Luigi sobbing. Not sure what to do, he floated over to him.

"Well, I gotta finish up what you started. You really want me to save Peach, don't you?" Luigi smiled and grabbed the Star, with the Baby Luma holding onto his hat. The last tears fell onto Mario's hat as they flew away.
