Excitement was in the air at Tarrytown Airport. Big Jake was going to take Jay Jay, Snuffy, Herky and Tracy on a camping trip at Tarrytown Camping Ground.

The only one not excited about the trip was Snuffy. He had a fear of the dark.

"This will be the best camping trip ever!" Big Jake Announced grandly.

"Yeah- and it'll be a lot of fun too!" Added Jay Jay.

However, Snuffy was still nervous about the dark.

They soon arrived at the camping ground

"Here we are!" Big Jake declared. "Now, the first thing we do is find a comfy place to sleep."

"What about behind the trailers?" Tracy offered.

"No, we need wide open space, so that we all get room to sleep." Explained Big Jake.

"Can we roast marshmallows?" Herky asked eagerly.

"Of course!" replied Big Jake. "We'll get a campfire going, and then we'll roast some marshmallows."

But Snuffy still felt afraid of the dark- But he wasn't keen on having the other planes find out about it.
...

Later, the gang had eaten plenty of roasted marshmallows and sang campfire songs.

Once they finished their current song, Big Jake said;

"Time to get some sleep."

"Why is Herky already asleep?" Asked Jay Jay.

I don't know, but those marshmallows probably tired him out!" Chuckled Big Jake. "Goodnight you all."

"Goodnight Big Jake!" the small planes chorused.

And they all drifted to sleep.

...

But Snuffy woke up again sometime later.

He was worried that a monster would grab him and run off with him!

Feeling scared, he taxied up to Herky.

"Herky- Herky, are you awake?" He asked.

But the little helicopter didn't respond. He was too busy dreaming of the beautiful nature surrounding them.

"Snuffy, what's wrong?"

Snuffy saw Jay Jay giving him a worried look.

"Can I tell you something?" The lime green skywriter asked.

"Of course Snuffy. What is it?"

Snuffy explained about his fear of the dark.

"I'm also worried that monsters might come after me." He added.

Jay Jay just smiled.

"There are no monsters Snuffy! And the night's nothing to be afraid of!" Jay Jay told him kindly.

"Why's that?"

"Well look at the sky. Herky said earlier that the stars looked like those fairy lights Brenda Blue uses at Christmas."

"I liked those lights." Snuffy looked up and smiled at the many stars twinkling down.

And do you remember Tracy telling us she thought the moon was like a huge night light?" Continued Jay Jay.

"Yeah I do! And if the stars are like fairy lights, and the moon like a night light, then I think I'm not afraid now!" Exclaimed Snuffy, happily.

Jay Jay felt proud to have helped out his friend, and Snuffy learned that sometimes, everyone needs a little light in the night.
