-1Albert Lovett was an old brute. He was a drunkard too. A rich one at that. That was how he was able to marry Nellie White when she was only fifteen years old.
Nellie's family was very poor. They could only afford scraps from the rich man's trash and maybe a dead cat from the road once in awhile.
The first day Albert laid his eyes on the poor, but lovely Nellie White, he knew that he wanted to marry her right away. He paid her father a handsome fee and claimed Nellie as his own wife the very next day.
Albert was never very kind to Nellie. He would beat her everyday until she was black and blue and then he would sexually abuse her. He caused poor Nellie to have five miscarriages.
There was also Nellie's infuriating mother-in-law, Ruby Lovett. Lovett was just as bad as her son, Albert. If not, worse. Ruby would call Nellie really mean names to her face and embarrass her in front of the customers in her pie shop.
Nellie took care of the old bat after five years of marriage. She pushed her down the stairs, which went to the furnace and told Albert that she tripped and fell. Albert was too distraught to do anything to her that night and that month.
Then the abuse started up again and Nellie knew that if she killed him shortly after she killed his mother, she would be suspected of murder.
After ten years of marriage, Nellie Lovett decided to get even with the sick bastard. She put arsenic in his meat pie one night. When she was sure he was dead, she called the doctor and told him to come quick because her husband would not wake.
