Well, I won't want to start with an introduction because, rhetorically speaking, probably no one even knows my name. Yeah, I was a social fail work but really I didn't had a choice and it's not even like I didn't enjoyed my solitude. If someone approaches me I would happily respond but this generation people, only care about status, huh, the queen-bees and bitches like Luna have half of the school under their feet and here when one person who is not fake and wants even, one true friend the result- None.
You see, you can do all you want and see if I even give a shit about that, but, there's no harm in hoping to have a good friend na ?And so it was one of those typical school day when I was sitting under the tree and criticizing the world in my thoughts when I met Hotaru. She came there and spoke
"Hey, you idiot what are you doing?" she spoke in an uneven tone.
I was startled, anyone would be, when here you are in deep thoughts under the tree's cool shade with closed eyes and someone suddenly speaks to you.
"Huh?"
"I said, idiot, what are you doing?"
"me?"
"yes, I don't see any other idiot here who wears baggy clothes and hides her face with a cap" she said and god knows that really hurt.ouch.
"excuse me, but you can't go around and say whatever you want about people and why do you care about whatever I am doing?" I replied irritated.
" Honestly, I don't -" I scoffed." But you seemed the most decent idiot among those herd of idiots. I just wanted to say, that you did a good job by shutting that Luna up today "when I heard that I smiled,
oh, so she is talking about, break time, when I took the pancake and rubbed it on Luna's face when she was mocking me with her loyal doggies ( her followers) who were trailing behind her. Seriously, people you should have seen her face when she screeched and said "sakuraaaa" and the cream of the pancake dripping down her face. The whole cafeteria cracked up after that and she ran to the the restroom .Indeed, it was very funny. kudos, Mikan, kudos.
I giggled slightly and said"should I take that as an compliment? If yes then, thank you it was my pleasure" and started laughing, remembering Luna's face and to my utter shock the Hotaru Imai looked at me and smiled and I mean it, a genuine smile. While smiling, she took out something from her skirt's pocket and showed it to me. It was the picture of Luna with pancake smeared all over her face and that cracked me up big time.
"HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA" and surprisingly I was not laughing alone, we both were shaking with laughter, After a minute or two we stopped to catch our breaths and flopped down on the ground.
"how did you get that picture?" I asked her, while still panting after laughing so much.
" I have my ways" she replied while smiling.
I gave a 100 watt smile and extended my hand to her "Mikan sakura"
She shook it and replied " I know. Hotaru Imai"
"Friends?" I asked.
"Friends."she said, and I don't know if all the impossible things were happening on that day but to my astonishment that was one of the day when Hotaru let me hug her and she hugged me back.
Well, now I see sometimes we don't need to give an introduction because true friends will know you even without you saying it.
And that was the faithful day when I met my best friend Hotaru Imai.
