One hundred feet down, he stands as solid as a rock in the middle of the crashing waves. Gravel falls off the edge of the cliff, into the nothingness below. He is still, his arms cradled out, knees bent to prepare for the impact.

Her breath quickens, catches in her chest. She shuts her eyes closed, holds her hands in front of herself and jumps.
