Erica and Janet, Teen Heroes
Chapter 1 One cold winter morning. Erica was walking down 256th Street, worrying about the Math test that day. "December 4, the day of the Chapter 2 test. Can't wait to fail." she thought. You see, Erica wasn't the smartest kid in the 8th grade, but she tried to keep her grades up to par, but just couldn't keep up.But the test that day wasn't her only problem. Her mother also made her try-out for the Christmas play. "Whoppe" she thought "another thing to worry about" She knew Miss Perfect would win the starring part. Janet Richmond was her name, being mean was her game.
Chapter 2 Erica wasn't happy about it, but she finally reached Stone Middle School. She reached into her jean pocket, and pulled out a bright red paper with her schedule on it. She read 8:30-9:30 is English Class, 9:40-11:00 Social Studies, and Math Class at 11:10-12:15. Then It's Lunch Break. The play's try-outs were at 1:00. 11:10, the time of DOOM. "It's amazing how time flies" Erica thought, because it was already the end of the Social Studies period. Erica walked to her locker to get her Math books, and headed to Doom's lair. "I can't believe I'm actually doing this!" Erica exclaimed. But indeed she was. When she walked in, she saw her best friend, Kate. "Hi Erica. I saved you a seat!" "Thanks!" "So did you study last night?" said Kate. "Uhhhhhhhh, No." Erica! You do know this counts for 25 of your grade, right? "Well. . . . . I kinda left my book in school last night" Erica you know you wouldn't of studied anyway! "I know but. . . . . school is such a waste of time!"
