It was a warm spring morning in the leaf village. Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke and Kakashi Sensei were setting out on a mission. It was an easy task--head to a farm and lookout in secret for any hidden ninjas from another village.
As unfortunate events unveil for the group, Naruto ends up sick with the flu and is forced to stay home from the mission. As a result of Naruto not going on the mission Kakashi Sensei trusted Sakura and Sasuke alone to the mission due to their high performance on previous tasks and missions. She was finally beginning to focus on her passion of becoming a ninja and not so much focus on Sasuke and if he would ever 'like' her. She always had her hopes up too high and was only rejected time after time so why chase it anymore?
Sakura began packing her small bag the mission was for only 5 days and they had to pack lightly due to being hidden and not to be noticed.
Sasuke was finally going to get some time with Sakura...alone. He had secretly and by secretly I mean very secretly been waiting for this moment. He had always liked Sakura but this mission was the perfect opportunity to really talk to her in a more private setting.
The pair was to set out the next morning.
