Hey everybody, this is my first time posting a poem on Fanfiction. It is just a little one-shot on how I pictured Wendy reminiscing her relationship with Peter Pan once she is grown up. All feedback, tips, comments, and reviews are welcomed.

Wendy's Thoughts on Child Pan
Peter Pan, where did you go?
Every night by the window did I wait for you.
I'd tuck the boys in and lay my head against the glass pane.
But never did you return.
Why did you leave me here?
Away from Netherland.
Yes, you said that you wished to remain a boy forever.
But did you really mean it?
Your actions are creating a rather profound juxtaposition.
You say nothing is better than not growing up.
Yet you flew me home above the roof tops with dust of the cunning fairies.
I am not stupid.
I saw your eyes eagerly glancing about.
And now all these years later, as I sit by the window, grown up for good,
I can't help but wonder did you really mean what you said?
No, after long years of contemplation,
I have come to the conclusion, that it wasn't that you wished to remain young forever.
No, in truth, it was the fear that you held for change.
An evolvement of sorts.
The transformation from a boy into a man that you had never seen.
