A/N: This is my first fan-fic, so be nice! I hope you enjoy.
THE LAST MARAUDER
Remus stood up, still deep in memories. Vaguely he heard his wife call up to him.
"Remus, are you all right? I heard-"
"I'm alright Dora, I'm just-" he paused in search of a good word, but nothing came to mind; "-thinking."
Nymphadora Lupin walked back downstairs, quieting Teddy, their son, as she went.
She had a good reason to be concerned, only a day ago he had transformed into a vicious beast. He hated his transformations more than anything, and everything, in the world. Except from Voldemort, that is. That guy was horrid…
Yet he hated him for the loss of his best friends more than anything, including Peter. He had chosen to serve Voldemort. James and Sirius, however, had gone down fighting, in the true marauders opinion, the best way to die. He remembered how long it had been since he last saw James and his wife, Lily; it was over 17 years ago. Remus hated this – these thoughts – so went downstairs in search of a turquoise haired baby boy.
"Dada! Dada! Hewlp! Stwop Mama!" yelled the little boy, screaming with laughter as his 'Mama' tickled him relentlessly.
"Ok then Ted," said Remus, chuckling. He then did a 'ssssh' gesture (finger on mouth) to Teddy as he crept up behind his wife. Teddy's eyes lit up. Remus then pounced upon Nymphadora, and started to tickle her relentlessly, he and his child laughing as she yelped, and started to laugh uncontrollably while begging for mercy.
Remus still missed his friends, but there were things worth living for after all. He missed them, but it didn't hurt to have fun.
