First AHS story, I hope you'll like it!

Unbeta'd; try to excuse any mistakes, English is not my native language.

Disclaimer: Of course I don't own American Horror Story or its characters. No, I don't own Zachary Quinto either, unfortunately.

Around the middle of the '60s, Doctor Oliver Thredson died. Lana Winters, accomplished journalist and the doctor's last victim, planted a bullet through the back of his head. He didn't have the time to feel the pain of the penetration of the bullet in his skull. But if he had been given time to think, he would have found his demise tragic in a poetic way. The only woman he had ever trusted, his new "mother", the woman who was carrying his child, betrayed him like his biological mommy. Except that Lana took it one step further: she killed him.

Shortly after, a boy named Chad Warwick is born. He is a quiet baby, rarely annoying his mommy.

Of course that doesn't mean that his relationship with his mother is good. She is distant emotionally, and little Chad always fears that maybe she will give him up for adoption. She never does, but sometimes he finds himself wishing that she would. Maybe his new mommy would be better, always there for him. Accepting him for who he is.

His mother doesn't. When, at the age of eighteen, he finally confides in her that he is gay, she bubbles up with rage. She curses God for giving her such a terrible and abnormal child. He hates her more than ever in that moment. He hates her so much that he wants to kill her. A wild beast is roaring in his chest. That woman has given fuel to his rage, has scarred him psychologically for the rest of his life. She deserves to die.

But no. The clothes he is wearing at the moment are too expensive to be stained by his mother's blood - he has always loved style and expensive clothing. He won't kill her. Better to leave her off alone, tormented in her loneliness and the rejection from all the world.

Chad has many bad relationships, but he doesn't allow that to affect him. Not so much because he is confident; mostly because he is lonely. He hates waking up alone. He hates returning home and not being greeted by a companion.

It all changes when he meets Patrick. Chad doesn't think that he believes in love on first sight, but he has to admit that he feels greatly drawn to that tall, blond man.

He really feels that his luck has changed with Patrick. He is happy, he feels loved, he is no longer alone. And, by some miracle, he finds in Los Angeles an amazingly beautiful house, a Victorian-like mansion. He is certain that he and Patrick can be happy there. They will restore the house and will have a great life together.

Chad has no idea that, just like Doctor Oliver Thredson, he will meet a tragic end.
