Revealing the past

Hey. This is my first ever fanfic so please review and tell me if you like it.
This story is sort of AU you will find out why in later chapters which will be posted if reviews are positive. I know this chapter is really short but I want to know what you think before I continue.

Chapter 1
It was a normal day at the institute, well as normal a day as it could be in a mansion full of students. Everyone was gathered around the dining table for diner, which was fortunately not cooked by Kitty.
"Kurt like leave some food for the like rest of us" yelled kitty as she attempted to get another piece of food from the plate Kurt was currently holding.
"Bobby stop freezing my food" Ray screamed as he attempted to electrocute Bobby.
"TABITHA" Rogue shouted "you so much as think of sending your little cherry bombs anywhere near me and I SWEAR you will not live to do it again. Got it sugah."
"Chill Rogue" Tabitha stated in her usual relaxed way "I wouldn't dream of it"
Ororo looked towards the other adults and sighed "will we ever have a peaceful dinner in this mansion"
"I doubt it" Hank chuckled in response
Dinner carried on as usual after that until suddenly there was a loud noise coming from the foyer and the dining room doors burst open.
About 20 heavily armed men, who were dressed in black military style clothing rushed into the room, guns pointed at the table. A fairly handsome man with chocolate brown hair and eyes to match stepped forward. His gun was pointed and he was looking at Rogue. After what seemed like forever he opened his mouth and spoke " Anna Marie Darkholme, we are arresting you for the murder of Carol Danvers ..."
