Lying in his arms was just about the only comfort Betty felt. He was special and she knew how much he wanted to take care of her. It meant so much to her that someone like Henry wanted to continue seeing her after all the turmoil in his life. Betty knew that Henry was the one that she would spend the rest of her life with.
"Good morning, beautiful." Henry purred into her ear. Betty opened her eyes and sighed.
"I'm glad to know that you consider me so beautiful." She smiled and rested her head on his shoulder.
"So what would you like to do today?" Henry asked, as he caught a piece of Betty's hair and began to play with it.
"We haven't done Sundae Movie Night in a while. How about A Walk to Remember?" Betty thought for a moment and continued, "We could have Mandy Candy ice cream and Shane South "West" ribs." Betty smiled as she sat up.
"Sounds like the perfect night. We do have a whole day ahead of us though. It's Saturday and you don't have to go into work." Henry sat up as well and began to move around.
"We could walk through Central Park. It's nice and sunny outside, so it would be the perfect day for us to spend time together. We only have less than 2 months with one another, so why waste anytime." Betty suddenly got a burst of energy, just thinking about the day ahead.
"I need to make a quick phone call." Henry said suddenly and moved into the living room and closed the door.
Betty wondered what Henry was up to. It was sudden of him to react in the manner that he did. Betty tried to listen through the door, but Henry was extra careful not to make any noise.
"Ready to go?" he asked suddenly behind her. Betty turned to see a smiling Henry right behind her. She grinned and ran into his arms, where she felt the safest.
"Of course. What are you planning Mr. Grubstick?" Betty raised her eyebrow, but Henry just shook his head.
"It's not important, Betty. Let's get to Central Park." He grabbed Betty's hand and led the way. Henry looked as though he had something on his mind, but Betty ignored those thoughts. Being with Henry was important to her.
"Ok, so we're here. What next?" Betty asked as they wandered into the park. Henry didn't say anything; he just quietly led Betty down path after path. Betty slowly began to grow frustrated with him. "Henry, who did you call? Did you call Charlie?" Betty asked, feeling herself begin to panic. "You're not being very fair to me right now!" Betty stopped dead in her tracks. Henry didn't say anything, but his serious look remained on his face. He beckoned for Betty to follow him.
They walked for about five minutes and with every step, Betty was growing more and more worried. She began to wonder who was on the phone with Henry and if she had to worry as much as she was. Finally Henry stopped walking, and Betty stared at what was in front of her in awe.
"Henry…is this the reason…you were on the phone so suddenly?" She walked closer and noticed the swarm of butterflies flittering around. "You…you named a butterfly garden after me?" She walked over to the sign that read: Betty Suarez Butterfly Garden. She felt tears swell up in her eyes.
"I love you Betty. It's just something I know." Henry grinned and pulled her close.
