Harry, Ron and Hermione were sitting under a big bushy tree next to the lake. DADA had just ended and much to Harry and Ron's displeasure, Hermione had insisted they take their charms books out to study for the upcoming test. So there the three of them sat reading and quizzing each other as the other students ran around and talked. Crookshanks was settled near the lake resting in the warm spring sun, while pig whizzed around hooting happily.
Everything was as normal as normal could be when suddenly a stray spell hit Crookshanks and he went flying into the air and landed with a loud splash in the lake. Hermione jumped up at the sudden noise, her book falling to the floor. She saw her beloved pet struggling to keep his head above the water and screamed.
Ron looked up, without hesitation he ran to the lake and dived in. Quickly he swam after Crookshanks and got him just before he sunk beneath the shining water. Swimming back to shore and a frantic Hermione, he handed him over. Almost at once Hermione began to run toward the castle.
Tears were streaming down her cheeks, landing on Crookshanks limp body. She just ran not looking at where she was going, the only thing on her mind was getting him to the hospital wing. Quite suddenly she ran into something hard, stumbling back she looked up into the cold black eyes of Professor Snape.
He looked angry as usual, but after taking a look at her tear stained face and the body in her arms, his expression softened.
"P-pleas p-p-professor, he ne-needs help!" Hermione sobbed.
He snapped his fingers and Draco appeared at his side.
"Take this cat to the hospital wing, now." He added seeing Draco's hesitation.
"Th-thank you…." She managed to say.
Then for one of the most unexplainable reasons, she hugged him, sobbing harder into his chest. He wrapped his arms around her and held her close for what seemed like forever, not wanting to let go.
When she finally did look up, her eyes red and puffy, tearstained cheeks and a single tear slowly rolling down the side of her face; he cupped her face in his hands and planted a simple kiss on her forehead.
"It'll be alright." He whispered in her ear.
Bleh...i don't like this one too much... i just like the part where she hugged him, but none the less i would like to know what you guys think...so review?
