Morning After
The sun was streaming in through the window, indicating that it was to be another beautiful day. However, not even the weather could have affected the mood of the crew of the famed starship Voyager, finally back in the Alpha Quadrant after seven long years.
Kathryn smiled with content as she rolled over in bed; her arm casually tossed over the warm body cuddled up next to her. It had been too long since she had last experienced this sensation.
Her eyes opened as she felt movement besides her, and she gazed into the flawless, soulful brown eyes of her bedfellow.
"Hey there, gorgeous," she murmured, a silly grin spreading across her face as she remembered the night before.
The only reply she got was a mouthful of tongue.
Spluttering, she pulled away. "Yes, I love you too," she replied. "Now, let's see about some breakfast, shall we? I've got an appetite after last night."
Kathryn climbed out of the large bed, and put on her robe, before heading towards the door. Hearing no sounds of movement behind her, she turned around.
"Come on Molly," she told the dog.
