I cried out as I bumped into something hard. My textbooks scattered around me as I fell down. I looked up to see a boy with red eye, white hair, and a black and yellow jacket standing over me.

"Sorry about that." He stuck out his hand to help me up, and I took it. His hand was warm, which for some reason surprised me. He pulled me off the ground, picked up my textbooks, and handed them back to me. I somehow managed to stuff them all into my backpack.

"Thanks." I said. For some reason, the boy was staring at me. I quickly looked away to avoid his dark red eyes.

"Hey, are you that new student everyone's talking about?" He asked, still staring.

"Yeah, why?" I asked, this time looking into the boy's eyes.

"You might want to watch out for Black Star. He doesn't like new kids." He said.

"Great." I grumbled. "Just what I need right now. So where is this guy?"

I heard a soft thud behind her. She turned around to see a boy with blue hair, green eyes, and a black jacket way too big for him.

"I, Black Star, the greatest assassin that ever lived, challenge you!" He shouted.

"I decline." I said flatly and started walking away. The boy's, who was apparently Black Star, mouth dropped open in shock.

"HOW DARE YOU TURN YOUR BACK ON ME!"

I felt a sharp pain in my back. Before I knew what was happening, I was flying across the room. I slammed into the wall on the other side of the hall and collapsed. My vision went hazy for a second. When it cleared I lifted my head and saw Black Star above me, laughing her head off at what he thought was an easy win.

"Fine!" I yelled. Black Star stopped laughing and looked down at me. "You wanna fight, I won't hold back!"

I stood up. My arm glowed and changed shape until it was a crossbow with an instant reload of arrows. Black Star's mouth dropped in shock. I shot arrow after arrow, but he somehow kept dodging them by running in circles. Gee, why hadn't I thought of that? Finally after many arrows and a very annoying Black Star, I finally hit him in his flank, making him fall down. The arrow that hit him morphed until it was a rock that surrounded his leg. He tried to get up, but the rock held him down.

"HEY! THAT'S CHEATING!" he yelled at me, punching away furiously at the rock. I glared at him and stood up, hefted my back pack onto my shoulder, and walked away.

"There's no such thing as 'cheating' in the real world."
