Goku stood there watching as his son fought cell. He knew that his son had the power that he needed but it was soon apparent that he couldn't access it. Everyone was surprised that Goku even let his son fight in this and were expecting that anytime he would rush out and stop this, he didn't. Gohan was getting beat bloody and cell, though he too knew that Gohan had the power in him as he could feel it knew to like Goku that he couldn't tap into the hidden reserves.
Goku was getting mad and though he knew that bad things happened when he got mad he just couldn't help it when he saw his son, his only son, getting beat on like that and remembered the last time something like this happened was when he was young and even then it never happened a lot only twice. When he battles with king piccolo and when he slaughtered the entire red ribbon army. The others could feel his ki fluctuation and looked at his almost relieved to see any change at all in their friend that seconds ago was almost expressionless. Cell to notice that. "Goku have you finally seen that your son for whatever reason cannot get to his power. Fell you fight me once again or is this over?"
Gohan was let go and he went to the ground and Goku calmly walked over to his son that was up again minutes later. Groggily his son said, "Dad am I done now?" Goku couldn't say no to his son as he helped him up and walked over to Vegeta before giving him his son to him and gave him a meaningful look and know that Vegeta would help his son he looked at cell with hooded eyes, anger consuming him. Tein could feel something familiar and almost hate filled energy fill the air and imeadeatly looked over at Goku remembering the last time that he had felt something like that was in the fight against king piccolo. Vegeta was the next to look to Goku for the answer but really didn't need one now that he thought about it. He knew the answer, Kakkarot was actually letting some of those lateen instincts come out. The rest of his friends soon followed him. He stayed on the ground with was unusual lately because of the fact that with everyone having the ability to fly. Cell came down in agreement to the redone challenge. And the fight began.
